What is AcroYoga, Anyway?

AcroYoga is a partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the kind touch of Thai Massage. This practice cultivates trust, playfulness, and community, while building strength, balance and flexibility. In AcroYoga we support and empower each other to reach new heights and celebrate the joy of embodiment. 

When?

Fridays, 6:00 - 8:00 pm; May 18th, June 1st, June 15th, June 29th, July 13th

Workshop details:

This workshop series introduces the beginner to AcroYoga and builds the foundation of the practice in 5 progressive sessions.  AcroYoga is a partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of Thai Massage. We will cultivate trust, playfulness, and community, while building strength, balance and flexibility. 

We typically work in teams of three where we take turns basing, flying and spotting. We support and empower each other to reach new heights and celebrate the joy of embodiment.  

We will break the ice of partner yoga practice and provide the foundational skills of AcroYoga: finding your center of gravity, aligning your bones with your partner, and efficient use of your strength. 

Each class will include: Group warm ups, individual strength building, partner strength building, trio AcroYoga fundamental work, and therapeutic warm down.  

The series will build upon each class but dropping in is accepted at any time. If you are starting AcroYoga for the first time, we highly recomment to please come to the first class of the series.
